ription POSITION SUMMARY):The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for demand forecasting and business analysis activities. This person will serve as a link between merchandising and supply chain to ensure alignment between plans. This role will have a strong focus on developing sales profiles which calculate weekly forecast quantities. This role will also maintain and analyze key performance indicators to prioritize forecasting improvements. This is a highly quantitative role that requires a strong mathematical background and firm mastery of Excel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and maintain seasonal selling profiles. 30% Partners with merchandising for planning new product demand. 15% Reviews tactical demand trends and adjusts forecast inputs and outputs as needed. 25% Develops demand reporting tools for both regular use and ad-hoc customer analysis. 15% Collaborates during consensus demand meetings with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on forecasts. 15% ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Demand Planning or similar role with emphasis on data analysis. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Working knowledge of the following areas desirable: business principles, supply chain processes, Microsoft Access and Excel, DOMO, SQL, VBA, and other applicable software applications.
