FRONT DESK MEDICAL ASSISTANT
UroHealth Job Type Part-time Description
Busy practices seeks an experienced Part-time Medical Assistant/Front Office in our UroHealth office. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence. This position will consist of front and back office duties including:
* Scheduling appointments
* Responding to patient calls
* Prior authorizations
* Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
* Scanning and faxing
* Taking vital signs and height/weight measurements
* Preparing/cleaning treatment rooms for patient examinations & procedures
* Assisting MD during procedures
* Practicing sterile technique
Requirements
* Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
* Medical terminology
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Comfort with interacting with the elderly and disabled
* Comfort with bodily fluids
* Strong computer skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)
**Strongly preferred qualifications:**
* Preferred 1 years experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical clinic
**Required experience:**
* Medical Assisting: 1 years, including familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorizations
