BASIS Independent Silicon Valley Upper is seeking qualified candidates for a Facilities Coordinator (Temporary)!

What We're Looking For

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in providing various facility and operational services to the school that are critical to maintaining a successful educational environment. This is a temporary position from mid-May through late August.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports Facilities Manager with building maintenance, and immediately responds to building emergencies.

  • Performs general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed (classrooms, offices, restrooms, etc.).

  • Responds to Facilities tickets (requests) as they come in.

  • Researches possible vendors and makes recommendations to Facilities Manager.

  • Communicates necessary information to the Facilities Manager to maintain records.

  • Assembles, disassembles, and sets-up furniture systems as requested.

  • Performs various minor work such as painting, wall repairs, etc..

  • Supports school events conducted at the facility and provides needed equipment and set-up/tear-down.

  • Supports the Facilities Manager and Head of Operations on other projects and tasks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Education & Credentials

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2 years of facilities & building maintenance experience.

  • Must obtain all necessary local certifications, including fire training certification.

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of methods, tools, materials, and equipment to be used in maintaining the facility.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Communication - Ability to convey information both verbally and in writing and communicate in a manner that is clear, complete, and concise.

  • Cooperation - Ability to engage in group participation to complete or improve work.
