Job Summary:

Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) is a Small Business Program Management and Engineering Services provider to Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. BecTech is seeking professional candidates to fill the position of full-time Acquisition Cost Estimator in Crystal City, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide cost related analysis and assessments of products and services and performs parametric tradeoff studies and assesses cost estimates.
• Proficiency with using modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments.
• A cost estimator develops program life cycle cost estimates and performs concepts and technology tradeoff studies for programs and projects.

Required Education/Experience:

• 4 years of experience required; More than 4 years of experience preferred.
• Degree in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. is preferred.
• Certified in the Cost Estimating career field by a recognized professional society or educational organization preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a team.
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Possess good communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to obtain and retain a security clearance.

ADA SPECIFICATIONS:

• Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent period of prolonged sitting may be required.
• Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel: Less than 5% expected
