Position Purpose : With a focus on maintaining a clean and inviting customer shopping environment, the Custodian maintains the physical facilities of the grocery store.

A Custodian can work at a fast pace, has a keen eye for safety and will be able to help execute an assortment of duties throughout the store.

Responsibilities : A Custodian is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

A Custodian’s responsibilities include :

• Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
• Engaging with customers through smiles, greetings, and genuine thank you.
• Maintaining the store's floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and sealing.
• Cleaning and maintaining the entrance of the store, eating areas, restrooms, warehouse and janitorial sink and supply area.
• Cleaning vending machines, water fountains, electric mart carts.
• Emptying and disposing of trash collected in various trash receptacles throughout the store.
• All other related duties as assigned

Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period :

Standing, Sitting, Lifting Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending
