As the Wyandotte Site Manager, you provide leadership and direction for all site activities at the Wyandotte, MI Site. This includes overseeing environmental, occupational safety, process safety, operations, technical, asset management, capital projects, strategic development, management of Fighting Island, community relations, and remediation efforts. You ensure that all processes and activities comply with BASF policies, regulations, and our values for safety, quality, environmental and financial stewardship. The Site Manager also collaborates with various businesses and supports organizations across BASF to fulfill the mission of the business, site, and ensure customer satisfaction.

As a Wyandotte Site Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

• Leading the Wyandotte Site Team, overseeing permit applications, reports, and regulatory documents on behalf of BASF Corporation. This includes accountability for all BASF team members, visitors, and contractors at the site, which has approximately 1,200 employees.
• Managing the Wyandotte Site Campus and collaborating with key stakeholders in areas such as EHS performance, development and implementation of mid to long-term strategies for site assets, infrastructure management of campus buildings, and alignment of remediation sites with overall business direction. You will also guarantee compliance on Fighting Island and across the US and Canada borders, working with stakeholders from various organizational units.
• Championing a positive site culture that emphasizes strong safety interdependence and continuous improvement methods. Fostering a collaborative, diverse, inclusive, and empowered work environment.
• Managing governmental affairs and community relations as the main point of contact at the site for internal and external parties.
• Developing, monitoring, and managing the Site Operational Plan, including analyzing complex data, creating and implementing budgets, establishing objectives, managing personnel and inventory, and planning capital projects aligned with strategic objectives.
• Leading, coaching, influencing, motivating, and managing direct and indirect reports responsible for Site Operations, Logistics, Maintenance, EHS, Controlling, and Communications.
• Playing a critical role in the PMN-O Leadership team and contributing significantly to the success of the PM business, considering that Wyandotte is a PM site.

If you have...

• Engineering Bachelor´s degree, MBA prefered.
• 15 years of proven Manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated track record in the critical success areas of EH&S, cost efficiency, quality improvement, asset optimization, community, and industry relationship management.
• Experience in the application of leading-edge methods and technologies.
