As a Senior Construction Engineer, you will be responsable for providing construction engineering support within the Corporate Engineering Services Department which executes medium to large capital investment projects throughout North America. This position provides technical support for construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. The primary responsibilities will include management of the construction contractors with regards to safety, quality, schedule, and cost. As a Construction Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...

• Providing technical support for construction, to manage and oversee the day-to-day construction execution, commissioning, and start-up support of projects while monitoring construction productivity and schedule performance in an independently manner.
• Leading safety culture and implementing Construction EHS Plan for projects.
• Demonstrating your knowledge and experience in providing construction guidance by providing technical support to Construction Contractors, Project Engineering, Turnaround and Maintenance to support Large Project execution.
• Building and maintaining internal and external relationships to effectively with different stakeholders including contractors and other service providers, being BASF’s construction representative.

If you...

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Have 5 years of experience in construction and/or maintenance.
• Are a result-oriented person who can build working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization, managing and/or working with diverse teams.
• Can identify areas of development for team members and helping them overcome obstacles as well as being able to understand and manage customer expectations.
• Have availability to travel >50% of the time (mainly domestic destinations).
• Demonstrate experience and effectiveness managing and/or working with diverse teams as well as a strong ability to understand and manage customer expectations
• Demonstrate experience identifying areas of development for team members and helping team members overcome obstacles
