As Process Technician Specialist at the Edgar site in McIntyre Georgia you will be responsible for providing technical, and operational support in the manufacturing of catalysts for the global refining industry as part of BASF’s Catalyst business unit.

The Edgar Site (McIntyre) is located in central Georgia and specializes in the production of kaolin clay. The site mines and processes clay to manufacture products such as FCC and catalytic intermediates.

These products find applications in various industries, including oil refining, paints, rubber, plastics, wire and cable insulation, thermal paper, construction materials, and catalytic converters.

We are currently seeking a skilled professional like yourself to join our team at the Edgar (McIntyre) site in Georgia as a Process Technician Specialist. .

During your 8-hour shift as a Process Technician Specialist , you will...

• Provide technical and operational support to process operators.
• Monitor and test in-process quality on all plant product grades.
• Assist with experiments to improve plant processes regarding safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Have thorough knowledge of the plant process with a working knowledge of the process function of each piece of equipment.

Learn new equipment as soon as possible after its installation.

• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Ability to work off-shift when call in requirements are needed.

If you...

• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 10 years of experience in manufacturing and / or laboratory setting.
• Are willing and able to work 8hr shifts with occasional overtime / on-call.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 25 lbs.
• Are comfortable working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers, and management.
