As a Line OSIH Coordinator in Freeport, TX working at the Hydroxylamine unit in CM you will be responsible for leading the daily execution team efforts to ensure a high degree of safety in the production unit.
As a Line OSIH Coordinator, You Create Chemistry By...
- Participate in incident investigations and ensure completion of AIM reports (excluding major incidents requiring non-unit facilitation
- resources)
- Follow-up, track, and ensure timely close-out of safety and health related action items (incidents, audits, suggestions, etc.)
- Develop, maintain documentation, and ensure execution of the following safety and health programs : Safety meetings Safety drills Unit specific safety training and orientation Unit specific safety rules HAZWOPER
- Ensure PPE grid is maintained current for the unit
- Ensure current SDS’s are available for all chemicals in the unit
- Conduct on-going reviews of closed safe work permits and energy isolation forms, and implement measures to ensure continuous
- improvement
- Support coordination of common training across the site for shift personnel (HAZWOPER, etc.); schedule unit personnel to attend
- specific training
- Collaborate with EHS Specialist as required for site safety standards (radiation, asbestos, industrial hygiene assessments,
- ergonomic assessments, etc.)
- Participate as necessary in external and internal audits involving their unit (Corporate or OSHA)
- Provide unit-specific coordination, preparation, and maintenance of safety compliance between internal audits
- Ensure periodic safety equipment maintenance and checks are performed and documented
- Participate and provide unit expertise for PHA and capital project reviews
- Support unit and site emergency response functions per the site’s and unit’s emergency response plans
- Develop, maintain, and execute an in-the-field job audit program for their unit (hazard recognition and control)
- Provide OSIH input for the unit’s periodic Responsible Care Management System report
- Participate in the development and execution of safety and health compliance plans for outages and turnarounds
- Support PSSR and MOC processes
- Act as the unit’s point person for safety suggestion management
- Serve as the leader of the unit’s safety team
- Champion the unit’s journey to EHS excellence including employee recognition
- Role model the desired safety and health behaviors needed to drive continuous improvement in safety and health performance
