Barukh Non-Emergency Transportation LLC, are seeking individuals to join our team who are willing to transport our riders in a safe, integrous, reliable and responsible manner. He/She will be transporting wheelchair and ambulatory riders to and from their medical appointments, mental health facilities, hospital stays, dialysis centers, day centers, physical therapy, day treatment centers, cancer treatment centers, etc. The best candidate for our company will have an above average driving record, be able to work flexible hours (i.e. early mornings, late evenings, some holidays) and be able to follow a complicated route without complaints.

Job Responsibilities

In order to perform these duties listed below please bear in mind that the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and or listen (multi-task skills). The employee frequently is required to walk, stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch. Also, there are specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Be familiar with non-emergency software apps so as to receive trip information, updates and to validate pick up and drop off times.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions via cell phone.
• Successfully perform scheduled manifest by picking up all clients on time and delivering them to their destinations safely and within a reasonable time frame.
• Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspection and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Report safety issues to maintenance immediately for repairs.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients and one's coworkers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Fuel vehicle daily
• Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations.
• Be able to perform short and long distance trips
• Understand and operate GPS on a cell phone.
• Ensuring the safety of all passengers by use of appropriate on-board restraints (seatbelts).
• Document thoroughly the course of the day including odometer readings, times and passenger information.
• Report all accidents involving riders and other motorists immediately to the Police and Dispatch
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Presently, there are no MEDICAL or DENTAL benefits at this time but we can assist you in getting insurance.

Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred
- Experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or van driving is a plus
- Familiarity with paratransit services and assisting individuals with mobility challenges
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers
- Commercial driving experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
