We are seeking a Payroll Administrator in Syracuse, NY to join our Accounting & Finance Department. This role requires experience with multiple states and over 300 employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, establish state enrollments and direct deposits.
  • Review and verify payroll data in a timely manner, calculates adjustments and enters payroll data.
  • Review post processing payroll reports.
  • Provide all required payroll reports to Corporate Controller after each payroll period.
  • Verify payroll tax deposits.
  • Create ad-hoc payroll reports.
  • Maintain monthly employee accrual (PTO including reconciliations between ERP and Payroll Systems.
  • Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, self-service and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, etc.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Audits benefit plan invoices against payroll deductions for accuracy.
  • Assist with 401(k) reporting and compliance, including nondiscrimination testing and other plan sponsor requirements.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • 5 years of payroll experience, processing multiple payrolls with multiple frequencies.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a huge plus.
  • Experience paying over 300 employees preferred.
  • Experience with UKG or Dayforce (Ceridian) platforms is a plus.
Estimated Pay Range : $30-40/hour.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
