Job Description: We are seeking a positive and reliable candidate able to join a team that takes pride in building high-quality, industry leading packaging systems for some of the largest food, beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical brands in the world! We offer outstanding hands-on training provided by an onsite mentor who will provide you with the support and encouragement you need to succeed. Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Principal Activities & Responsibilities: Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials. Assist with receiving, identifying, issuing, and storing material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method. Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders. Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications Assist with unloading of incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills. Assist with maintaining records of all items received and shipped. Assist with cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy. Assist with detection of defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to supervisor. Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage. Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only). Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor. Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policy Attend team meetings; may provide input on quality, cost, or production issues. Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members. Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely. Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, and or kneel for up to 8 hours.
