**Job Description:**

* Design Group is looking for a motivated, high energy, organized, collaborative **Process Chemical Engineering Department Manager** who has a great understanding of A/E facilities process engineering design. This person will possess the skills to handle multiple complex tasks, execute projects, and a desire to deliver for clients. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in executing projects for the Oil Refining, Gas Transmission or Petrochemical industries with the highest level of quality, cost effectiveness, and a focus on safety. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with other engineering disciplines, sometimes across multiple offices.

**Responsibilities:**

* SME for Design, facilitation, operation and maintenance of bulk gas and specialty gas systems as assigned.

* Responsible for overall success of team and projects

* Plan, manage and execute capital projects for System capacity expansion, adding or redistributing system loads and Process requirement changes/upgrades

* Review and upgrading of Facilities specifications as needed.

* Primary contact for systems issues/incidents and resolution.

* Actively participate in all engineering studies and contribute to system improvements.

* Provide leadership and oversight of c ompletion of engineering calculations and process design using AutoCAD MEP. Revit experience or oversight is a plus

* Provide weekly management reports to status ongoing projects, incident reviews, and weekly activities.

* Interface with vendors to accomplish equipment sizing, piping system design and selection of equipment.

* Develop specifications, interface with on-site project teams

* Inspect installations and design verification

* Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

**Requirements:**

* Have 10 years of process/design work experience in the Oil & Gas industry

* Client development, consulting and experience in the preparation of proposals for engineering services are highly desirable.

* Natural Gas Distribution or Downstream Refining project experience is highly preferred.

* Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical due to the requirement for effective communication of complex issues across multiple offices and teams.

* This position must communicate effectively with Clients, Vendors, Contractors and other Design Group employees at all levels of responsibility. Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as a professional demeanor are essential.

* Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, training, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.

**Education:**

* Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited college is required.

**Licenses:**

* Professional Engineering license required

* Certification for facilitating HAZOP and/or LOPA assessments is preferred

* Must currently hold or be willing and eligible to obtain a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
