Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY This Customer Service position is responsible for generating parts sales and satisfying customers by both receiving and pro-actively placing calls, understanding customers’ needs and quickly and efficiently carrying out the steps required to satisfy those needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Field customer calls for spare parts. Must have good working knowledge of Alliance equipment to trouble shoot customer needs and direct them to appropriate personnel if needed. Make outbound calls to solicit parts. Create customer orders, and/or create work orders for fabrication if required parts are not in stock. Have the ability to troubleshoot and suggest upgrades for old parts/functions. Have the ability to use issued Excel queries to review open orders and quotes on a daily bases to ensure orders are being shipped out on time and quotes are being followed up within the scheduled time frame. Work with sales and engineering to maintain up-to-date spare parts lists. Ability to aid the accounting department in retrieving past-due monies by contacting customers. Take after-hours emergency calls and be willing to arrive at office when needed to ship parts. Any and all other duties assigned. PURCHASING AUTHORITY LEVEL Authorized to create purchase orders when needed or in case of emergency. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience and Skills: Data entry, manufacturing, and bill of materials experience a must. Must have strong analytical skills. Intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience in Windows based environment. Proficiency with databases and MS Office, including Excel and Word is required. Proven ability to accurately work with detailed records while consistently meeting deadlines. Personal Attributes: Personable, Ability to show empathy, Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a demanding production environment, Good communication skills Physical Requirements To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to Travel, including domestic and international. Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines. Sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time. Move about the office and factory with occasional lifting, bending and reaching. Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries. Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts. Meet requirements of daily attendance on job for a full, continuous work schedule.
