Gracious Host
· Every customer should be treated as a great friend you have not seen or talked to in a long time.
· Smile, eye contact, understand and care.
· Get to know their project and provide additional insight and material.
· Focus on the customer and their success.
· You are empowered to make decisions.
The 2 Rule
· Always 2 employees on the counter.
· Acknowledge the customer within 2 seconds.
· Answer the phone within 2 rings.
Showroom and Retail Store
· Be “visible” in the showroom and retail area.
· Know your showroom and the products displayed.
· You are expected to have a sales pitch for every showroom display.
· Straighten and restock literature area and sample area.
· Keep your area and the sales counter clean and decluttered.
Sales
· Sell every product category with a focus on the millwork categories.
· It is your responsibility to learn all stock and special order products by utilizing Barrons team members, manufacturing/distribution sales representatives, literature and the internet.
· Process credit cards on sales orders for customers in the store or over the phone.
· Notify customers upon receipt of special orders by utilizing the smart view, special orders received requiring follow up. Add notepad notes to the sales order when notifying the customers.
· Keep open orders and quotes clean and up to date in the point of sale system. Utilize all smart views under your specific sales dashboard to assist with maintenance.
· Proactive calls – reference BisTrack for the daily call list and instructions. You should be completing at least 2 calls per day.
