Role Objective

The Director of Operations has three primary role objectives: 1. Increase Operational Efficiency 2) Continue to grow and develop our team 3) Continue to improve every aspect of the firm. In this capacity, the Director of Operations will enhance the company culture, systematize the workflow, and use the imputed authority of the ownership to direct the day-to-day business matters. The Director of Operations will provide supervision of support staff and leadership teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities/ Duties

● Evaluate and manage firms operating and information systems.

● Interview and screen applicants for non-attorney personnel. Assist with procedures pertaining to employee evaluations.

● HR experience preferred.

● Administers payroll (verifying work hours, leave time, overtime).

● Assist with terminations of non-attorney personnel after consulting with Ownership and Leadership Team.

● Meet daily with the leadership teams to ensure all company positions are producing firm needs and requirements.

● Host leadership meeting.

● Oversee and report on key metrics of the organization provided analysis as to what decisions should be made next.

● Provide Managing Partner and Owner with financial accountability for administrative requirements and coordinating for support staff needs for cost efficiency. (i.e. firm supplies, firm function budgets, marketing supplies, overtime, employee raises etc.).

● Evaluate and recommend changes, as appropriate, to the benefits offered by the firm. (i.e. training, leadership courses, Attorney CLE requirements).

● Establish firm policy and procedures, operating manuals, and proper execution.

● Performs audits & spot-checks to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and implemented correctly.

● Effectively communicate on behalf of the Owner with firm updates and requirements for firm growth by acting as a liaison for Attorneys and support staff.

● Assist with the establishment and accountability of marketing projects for legal services, client development and report data received.

● Establish and execute an organized plan of action for firm projects as directed by the Owner.

● Report daily firm operations data to the Owner. (i.e. report intake data, human resources data, any substantial firm financial data).

● 3 years of leadership experience in a service-based business. (Legal field preferred)

● Previously has led a team of at least 50 people.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to create workflows that improve efficiency.

● Effective communication and team management abilities.

● Business acumen with a results-driven mindset.
