Barre Unified Union School District is Hiring a High School English Teacher Near Barre, VT

Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont has a permanent full-time English teacher opening starting in August 2024.This position will include both freshman and sophomore heterogeneously-grouped classes as well as Journalism. Classes for these grades follow a department curriculum, with flexibility for teachers to individualize where needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A commitment to improve outcomes for all learners, including struggling students and those on an embedded honors plan. The ability to differentiate curriculum, instruction, and assessment.Desire to work in and contribute to a supportive team environment.Strong relationship-building skills.Familiarity with proficiency-based learning and grading practices.
