Summary

Reporting to a senior research and development engineer, the R&D Engineering Intern will work closely with the research and development team to expand analysis capabilities and support product commercialization

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a technical project focused on improving developmental products and characterization capabilities
• Utilize fundamental engineering knowledge to solve problems
• Foster good collaboration, maintain organized notes, and demonstrate continuous learning and growth
• Perform mechanical, thermal, and physical testing on composite materials
• Create and update standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Support R&D production trials and characterization efforts

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in materials, mechanical, or chemical engineering
• Hands on mechanical aptitude
• Interested in materials science and manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

Working Conditions

This position will spend time in office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
