- Collaborate with landfill staff to optimize waste disposal procedures and landfill operations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably in a landfill or waste management setting.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in operating various heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, compactors, and loaders.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety practices related to landfill operations.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, drawings, and technical manuals.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical stamina and the ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions.
