Barkley Films needs a story-teller. If you eat, sleep and dream in video, this job is for you. You’ll be working the Barkley Films team to make content that will have your grandparents saying, “You get paid to do what?!” Exploration, inspiration and experimentation in your craft is a must.

Responsibilities:

• You have a strong ability to think creatively and strategically.
• You are a creative partner to our creative and social teams in creating video assets.
• Provide invaluable creative input on all creative and throughout the production process.
• Responsible for editing videos, per specifications of each job.
• Work with producers and the creative teams to screen cuts and address internal and client feedback in a timely and collaborative fashion throughout the approval process.
• Addresses all agency and/or client edit changes with quality output, clear communication and schedule in mind.
• Ingests and organizes footage to help set our team of editors up for success.
• Archives all footage, assets and project files per company process during each job.
• Owns any other duties/responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains all equipment used.

Skills:

• Must have an ability and hunger to communicate through the medium of video
• Candidate must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and a self-starter. Individual must be cool and calm under pressure, have the ability to manage tight timelines, and have a diplomatic and problem-solving attitude under stressful situations
• Naturally curious to understand the craft of video production – from social content to large scale broadcast. You are a student of the world of editorial and what it brings to the overall production process.
• Must also be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree from a four-year college or 2 or more years of equivalent experience.

Additional Software Skills a Plus:

• Experience with motion design, color correction, color treatment, and music selection.
• Experience with cameras, composition, and lighting.
