Barklandia is a fun, fast paced, and energetic business that is looking for EVENING SHIFT KENNEL ATTENDANTS to join our fun and hard working team. We are located in Beaverton, OR at 8625 Sw Scholls Ferry Road. Our ideal candidate is reliable, self-driven, motivated, and hard-working.

No experience working with dogs in a professional setting? No worries! We will provide on the job training and support!

As a Kennel Attendant, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing meals to owner specifications and keeping accurate records on meals provided.
• Disinfecting and cleaning kennels.
• Bathing dogs (we will train you!).
• Daily cleaning tasks such as cleaning up urine or solid waste, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning dishes and bowls, emptying waste baskets, and other tasks as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work without direct supervision.
• Responsible and Honest: This person will often be the last person out of the building and will be responsible for ensuring the facility is locked and all alarms and cameras are operating and armed.
• Attention to detail is CRITICAL for success in this position.
• Dependable method of transportation

Cleaning Duties:

• Complete general cleaning duties as posted or assigned
• Scoop dog waste immediately and dispose of it as instructed
• Mop up accidents immediately
• Dust mopping/wet-mopping floors as assigned.
• Removing trash from containers
• Disinfect area
• Changing/Laundering towels, beds, rags, etc.
• Cleaning water bowls, Kongs ®, and other toys
• Other cleaning duties as assigned

Other Duties

• As assigned by owner or owner’s designee

Physical Requirements

This job includes prolonged standing, walking, and various bending and stretching. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. You may be asked to move quickly in the event of a situation in which the safety of a person or animal is at risk.
