Bark Avenue Daycamp offers a variety of services to our customers and their furry family members including doggy daycamp, boarding, training and grooming.

We're looking to add to our team for individuals who are friendly, confident, and eager to learn. Are you enthusiastic, energetic and can work in a fast-paced environment? We need individuals who are communicative, self-starters, and demonstrate a positive work ethic.

We are currently searching for full-time and part-time Pet Care Technicians. Must be open to working weekends and holidays as needed.

• Essential Job Tasks: Supervising dogs in the daycare to ensure safe play at all times. Ensure each dog is fed according to their daily schedule. Dispense daily medication to dogs as needed. Being alert to each dog’s physical and mental well-being and keeping management advised of any changes. Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning! While we all love dogs, this position is more than just playing with dogs. This position is hard work and can be physically and mentally tiring at times but is also extremely rewarding and fun. We encourage our team to continue growing their knowledge base on dog behavior, training, and pet first aid/safety through workshops, seminars and online classes that are provided to them. Understanding and demonstrating a thorough knowledge of dog behavior plays a key role in the success and safety our of daycare.

• Salary: Pay starts at $15.00 - $17.00 /hour. (Raises available based on performance; future pay increases as skills and responsibilities increase).

• Education: High school or equivalent

• Experience: No experience needed as we are willing to train the right individual. Experience in the pet industry is a plus!

• Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to list at least 50lbs
• Must be able to stand and walk 6-8 hours per work shift
• Must be able to handle dogs barking, jumping and pulling
• Must be comfortable with ALL sizes, breeds and temperaments of dogs
• Must be physically and mentally able to handle animals safely and effectively
