We are recruiting a full-time HVAC Lead Install Technician in the Tallahassee area. This position manages HVAC equipment installation projects while overseeing the work of other crew members. Our ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and enjoys working with a team. Breaking down old units and installing new equipment requires endurance, a strong work ethic, logical thinking skills and the ability to be thorough until the end of the project. Due to the nature of the position, only HVAC installation experience will be considered for this particular role.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
This position is a leadership position within the Install Department. Here the employee usually begins with a minimum of three (3) years of HVAC installation experience. Employee consistently demonstrates the ability to lead through both the mechanical and personnel aspects of project management. Problem solving, leadership skills, advanced knowledge of equipment and duct design/air flow are important factors in success in this position. The Lead Installer should be able to satisfactorily direct all team members and complete each job to the standard of the “Barineau Way”. The employee generally exhibits their knowledge, skills, and abilities on an expert level by successfully accomplishing the following items.
The Lead Install Technician is responsible for the on-time, high-quality installation of HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles, registers, diffusers, controls, and related equipment. This employee must identify and solve problems that might impede the completion of work within budgeted time. This position provides feedback and suggestions to supervisors, salespeople, and others on ways to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Complete approved repairs/improvements in a timely manner. Complete required paperwork and collect any payments as needed. Leave a clean, orderly beautiful installation, and make our customers delighted so they will always call us for their indoor comfort needs.
Installs heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Monitors HVAC systems and operations. Checks valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system to verify proper operation after installation. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Holds appropriate licenses as may be required by law.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however, this person will lead and direct the work of others on the job site.
Work Environment
This position will be subjected to extreme weather and environmental conditions. The work environment noise level is usually moderate but will vary occasionally. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities. Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some extension of regular hours is expected during seasonal influx of business.
Travel
Daily travel to and from job sites is expected for this position. Infrequent travel to job sites on the Emerald Coast may be necessary.
