Bare Dermatology is a new dermatology practice in DFW, founded on guiding principles by two highly successful and recognizable business leaders within the specialty practice of dermatology. Summary DERMATOLOGY MEDICAL ASSISTANT Bare Dermatology seeks experienced Medical Assistants to develop our DFW footprint. Your contribution will be essential in executing our vision and strategy for growth. The Medical Assistant will provide assistance to the Physician or Advanced Practitioner in multiple settings including the clinic and surgical settings. Medical Assistants will deliver uncompromised clinical care that results in a fantastic patient experience. We have openings at multiple DFW locations. Our clinic footprint is guided by a comprehensive analytics program targeting approximately 25 locations in DFW. Duties and Responsibilities
Work with a team
Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment
Room patients
Prepare for the physician
Obtain medical histories and chart patient information, medications, allergies, and test results in medical records.
Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing a patient for treatment
Prepare and administer intramuscular medications as directed by a physician following safety protocol
Remove sutures as instructed by physician
Collect tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Explain treatment plan and physicians' instructions to patients.
Manage pathology log and inform patients of biopsy results.
Return patient phones calls and answer questions, under physician direction
Assist with procedures such as biopsies, skin surgeries, and cosmetic procedures
Under physician direction, e-prescribe medications to patient pharmacies.
Authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
Manage paperwork and assist patients with obtaining biologic medications.
Manage Ipledge and isotretinoin prescriptions.
Communication with insurance companies for prior authorizations.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keep exam rooms clean and ready for patient care.
Inventory management, stocking and supplying ordering as needed.
All other job duties as assigned. Job Type: Part Time Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Only Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour Benefits:
