Primary Responsibilities of the Resident Assistant:
- Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
- Report changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
- Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
- Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
Job Requirements for a Resident Assistant
- Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless it is a state requirement.
- CPR/First Aid, preferred.
- Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Experience working with older adults preferred.
- State background check and drug testing required.
