Job Summary:
To manage the Medical Center's Accounting Department at an operational level that will ensure efficient and accurate accumulation, recording and reporting of all accounting data. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external users.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
Directly responsible for the implementation, presentation and ongoing maintenance of the health system's capital, operation, statistical and personnel budget.
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of departments.
Oversee daily operations of the department.
Coordinate and execute all phases of various external audits to ensure an accurate accounting of the Medical Center's sources and uses of funds to expedite audit completion.
Maintain and monitor daily cash flow analysis to ensure adequate working capital required for daily operations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
Experience:
3 years of experience in Accounting required.
3 years of experience in Accounting-Healthcare/Medical or 3 years equivalent work experience.
