Summary
Responsible for the day to day supervision of the materials distribution process and all related functions in an efficient and effective manner, including but not limited to: shipping & receiving, central supply, linen distribution, par level replenishment, inventory control, and hospital surplus.
Responsibilities

• Performs supervisory functions for the area of responsibility by effective management of human and financial resources to achieve quality outcomes in line with financial goals of the institution.
• Analyzes department operations, identifies opportunities for cost reduction and enhanced efficiency.
• Assist Director in department budget development, monitor expenditures, personnel and operating budgets.
• Shows leadership in problem solving as it relates to operational issues and meeting customer and personnel needs.
• Conducts special projects and performs related responsibility as may be assigned and required by the Director.
• Maintain adequate operating supply levels throughout the hospital and timely supply distribution for all assigned products.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: 2 years of experience in materials management; 6 months of healthcare related experience
Experience
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum: Associate's Degree or equivalent related experince
