Description
The Cardiovascular Education Coordinator has the primary function to assure that the in-service needs and Quality Improvement initiatives of employees are met.
- Conduct chart reviews and conduct quality improvement assessments to ensure compliance in all aspects of care.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership for managing the process improvement cycle.
- Maintain documentation of all Departmental activities and meetings
- Conduct in-service training for staff.
- Assist with initial assessment of competency and annual assessment of competency documentation.
- Schedule and monitor renewals for staff per their required licensure and certifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Radiology Technologist must be licensed Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging Radiation Technology and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- Experience in Electrophysiology, structural heart, and Interventional Cardiovascular procedures.
- Expert knowledge with equipment and supplies for all procedures and Infection Control and Accreditation Standards.
- Cath Lab experience required within the last year.
- Must obtain BLS is required within 3 months, ACLS is required within 6 months
