Position Summary: Full time/ In office position. Responsible for all financial matters of Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Health Enriched Housing Program, Inc
Job Requirements:
– B.B.A. in Accounting
– Three years’ experience as a financial manager preferably in a healthcare setting
– Must be able to execute all responsibilities and functions of the position in an ethical and lawful manner to include confidentiality. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to problem solve and work independently. Must maintain a professional demeanor and be able to manage in a multitask environment. Must have strong leadership, managerial, and customer service skills. Must have knowledge of and have the ability to learn diverse computer applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of fiscal team.
Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Develop and review policies and procedures for continued fiscal compliance with facilities’ philosophies and all applicable regulatory agencies.
2. Update and maintain knowledge regarding accepted accounting principles as well as local, state, and federal financial reporting regulations.
3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
4. Review Medicaid rates for accuracy and file rate appeals with DOH as needed.
5. Prepare and submit (timely) annual, quarterly, and upon request all Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, Department of Health reports, HUD and IRS filings, etc.
6. Assist Personnel Directors (or applicable titles) in all facets of employee benefits and ensure timely payrolls for Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Health Enriched Housing Program.
7. Participate in risk control: Manage and negotiate insurance contracts, their applications and placement of all insurance coverage for Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Health Enriched Housing Program.
8. Approve all purchases/expenses for payment in accordance with current BHS purchasing guidelines and practices.
9. Manage and monitor accounts’ receivable aging and collection processes for Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Health Enriched Housing Program.
10. Supervise cash flow for entities and other transactions as necessary.
11. Administration and reporting of grants.
12. Maintain and manage business and accounting software and licenses.
13. Participate in Compliance Committee.
14. Collaborate with Administrators and CFO in development of annual budgets.
15. Create monthly financial reports for Administrator, Executive Director and CFO review.
16. Conducts all BHNRC and BHEHP banking activities.
17. Prepare for review monthly, or as needed, financial reports and provide recommendations when necessary to ensure financial viability of entities of the Baptist Health System. Example reports include: balance sheet, cash flow, profit and loss, performance dashboards etc.
Additional Job Duties:
1. Provide supervision of Fiscal Team to include hiring, training, annual evaluations.
2. Provide support and backup for office functions.

Computer servers, terminals and printers, fax and mail machines, shredder, telephone, calculator, security safe and other general office equipment
