Works closely with the physical therapist and other departmental staff, disciplines, physicians, patients, and families. They will assist the Physical Therapist with carrying out the patient’s plan of care, established by the PT and keep the therapist up to date on patient’s status.
Graduated with an Associate Degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant approved by the Council of Medical Education or Hospital of the American Medical Association or the American Physical Therapy Association. Requires licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant with current licensure as a PTA from the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy. Inpatient and Outpatient experience is preferred. One year experience is preferred. BLS/CPR certification required. Very effective communication skills highly desirable.
