Job Profile:

This is an exciting and entrepreneurial opportunity to join a fast-paced software consolidator with a very significant growth trajectory. The position is ideal for a hard-working individual with a passion for interfacing with clients, revenue/ accounts receivable accounting and accounts payable analysis. As an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist, you will partner with our finance team to support our corporate headquarters. You will also be responsible for monitoring accounts payable for our corporate headquarters and managing weekly disbursements. Additionally, you will work alongside our Integration Team to help drive efficiency through dynamic and critical process improvements.

The ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables at the same time will be an important asset. We are also seeking a collaborative professional who likes to put forward suggestions and ideas on how to improve the status quo and drive best practices.  Responsibilities: 

• Reviewing, classifying, and processing invoices, expense reports and credit card statements
• Processing vendor payments
• Confirming, adding, and modifying vendor card, banking, and other key information
• Supporting internal and external stakeholders with inquiries related to processing and payment of accounts payable
• Participating in month end process in accordance with deadlines
• Documentation of standard operating procedures and making recommendations to improve the quality of procedures
• Development of ad hoc reports and dynamic projects as needed
• Conduct weekly / monthly intercompany reconciliations 
• Coordinate with Integration Manager and onshore Treasury Team for Intercompany cash sweeps 
• Generate Quarterly Management Fee invoices for all Operating Companies within the Banyan portfolio 
• Manage various Excel templates for Intercompany transactions and cross charges 
• Work collaboratively with the Integration Manager to develop and maintain cash registers for HQ Bank Accounts
• Process cash receipts and allocate them to corresponding invoices in Sage Intacct 
• Reconcile AR / AP subledger to General Ledger
• Undertake adhoc tasks as assigned by the Integration Manager and onshore Controllership Team

Qualifications for success:

The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics:

• 4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing
• A degree in accounting, business, or a related field
• General understanding of finance and accounting related policies and procedures
• Excellent customer service skills, and strong written and communication skills
• Professional maturity, a positive attitude, and proven resilience
• Proven ability to drive process improvement
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar system is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated organizational & time management skills
• Ability to think and work independently, while enjoying being part of a larger team
• Highly motivated and energetic with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance!
