Engineering Project Manager - Transportation

Banning Engineering is a civil engineering and surveying firm that offers a wide variety of services that includes transportation, municipal services, site engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, land surveying, and asset management.

Our Transportation team is rapidly becoming a significant portion of our business by offering our clients full-service, comprehensive municipal road design and geospatial applications. Banning Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer/Project Manager for transportation and geospatial projects. This position reports to the director level, Specific duties include meeting with clients with the director, preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, lead the design team effort, working closely with project engineers to develop the design, coordinate with other internal departments and sub-consultants, attending public meetings as needed, invoice clients, manage the public bid process, coordinate with contractors and internal inspectors and communicate progress with the director and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and construction plans for highway and roadway improvements.
• Familiar with industry standards of design.
• Perform QA/QC review of design calculations or drawings.
• Work as a part of a team to complete general transportation engineering services for state agencies, counties, and municipalities.
• Responsible for managing project budget, and analyses throughout the entire project.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Preparation of reports and feasibility studies.
• Roadway and drainage design (storm sewer, culverts, and water quality)
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualification/Requirements:

• BS in Civil Engineering or similar field of study preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in project management
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $89,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
