Banks Appraisal Group, a well-respected and expanding residential appraisal firm, seeks a highly motivated Chief Appraiser to join our team. In this leadership role, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating the quality of our appraisals, mentoring our appraisers, and spearheading our expansion into new markets.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the accuracy and quality of all appraisal reports.
• Implement and maintain best practices to minimize errors and enhance efficiency.
• Develop and deliver training programs to mentor and elevate the skills of our appraisers.
• Conduct complex or challenging appraisals as needed.
• Research and analyze market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
• Lead the development and implementation of a plan for successful entry into the commercial appraisal sector.
• Foster a collaborative and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of experience in a Chief Appraiser or similar role.
• SRA designation (preferred but not required).
• Certified General Appraiser/MAI (preferred but not required).
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring appraisal teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in appraisal software.
• Experience in the commercial appraisal field a plus.

The applicant is applying for the position of Chief Appraiser, primarily focusing on residential valuations. Additionally, we have an open position for a Commercial Appraiser. Should the Chief Appraiser be qualified and interested, there is the opportunity to also manage and develop our commercial appraisal services.
