Banko Overhead Doors is Hiring a Recruiting Specialist Near Tampa, FL

Banko Overhead Doors is looking for a talented full-time Hiring Coordinator to join our team and participate in the hiring process from beginning to end. You will be responsible for attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling, and conducting pre-screen interviews, and managing the pre-hire paperwork. This position will work under the direction of the Recruiting Manager and hand in hand with our hiring team.

As the Hiring Coordinator, you should have thorough knowledge of customer service, pre-screening and have innovative ideas on how to attract applicants. If you have strong communication skills and are confident as a headhunter, we want to speak to you. We like working with people who think ‘outside the box’ and who finish projects promptly.

Job Summary:

The Hiring Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR or Talent Acquisition team in all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process. This role involves coordinating interviews, managing candidate communication, and ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Job Posting and Advertising:

  • Create and post job vacancies on various job boards, the company website, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and update job postings as necessary to ensure accuracy and relevance.

2. Candidate Sourcing:

  • Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels, such as online databases, social media, and referrals.

3. Candidate Screening:

  • Review resumes and applications to determine if candidates meet the basic qualifications for open positions.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and interest.

4. Interview Coordination:

  • Schedule interviews with candidates and interview panels, ensuring timely and efficient coordination.
  • Communicate interview details and logistics to both candidates and interviewers.

5. Candidate Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates, providing information about the company, the recruitment process, and next steps.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries and keep them informed about the status of their applications.

6. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information, interview feedback, and hiring decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of offer letters, contracts, and other employment-related documents.

7. Reporting:

  • Generate and maintain recruitment-related reports and metrics for analysis.

8. Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations in the recruitment process.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a recruitment or HR support role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems. (preferably ADP)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with recruitment best practices and legal requirements.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Must be a team player and able to take direction.
  • Ability to pivot and multitask when needed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.


Working Conditions:

  • The role is typically office-based, but some remote work may be possible.
  • Occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate interviews outside regular business hours.
