Summary: The Loan Closing and Funding Portfolio Loan Specialist is responsible for completing loan files to be stored in the vault and scanned to the Bank’s electronic filing application. This position is also responsible for monitoring the status of all closed loans for the Bank and ensuring timely processing of the Security and supplemental files for any of the Bank’s loan products. Would also aid in any post-closing process to maintain accurate and efficient post closing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors all loan accounts that have closed.
• Works with all Closers to prepare and have the "Security File" and the other supplemental files processed and sent to Loan Servicing at the soonest practical time.
• Maintains documentation as to closed files and any missing information
• Aids in the collection of post closing items (i.e. recorded documents, UCCs, insurance, title policies, titles).
• Reports to Portfolio Management Department any collateral improvement or holdback for monitoring.
• Tracks new loan files to be scanned to the Bank’s electronic filing application.
• Images loose documents and Commercial and residential loan files into the E-file system.
• Acts as back up for the Vault Clerk.
• For real estate files, watches for tax due date within 60 days to inform Loan Servicing of a manual pay.
• Assists in the completion of special projects as requested.

Experience and Skills:

Education/Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous work in commercial lending environment is preferred.
• Knowledge in report format development and banking systems as it relates to commercial lending.
• Understanding of loan documents, collateral types and collateral perfection.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Windows operating products such as Word, Excel, is necessary.
