Job Summary:

The Deposit Operations Supervisor is a leadership role that will oversee a broad scope of professional activities related to the day-to-day supervision in the Deposit Operations unit. This includes Item Recon, Account Analysis, Returns, Research, GL Balancing, and Account Verifications. This position provides technical support, functional, and operational expertise including issue monitoring, documenting, and resolutions. This position plans, organizes controls, integrates, and evaluates the work of 5 direct reports. Establishes performance requirements and provides coaching for improvement and development and recommends compensation and other rewards for direct reports. Represents Deposit Operations on internal and bank wide projects and leads effort to implement continuous enhancements and controls over all related banking functions and processes.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

·Provide day-to-day leadership and work with staff of six to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment achieving departmental goals within budgeted income and expenses

·Monitor, evaluate, and direct assigned employees which include communication about projects, and other issues that may affect the department

·Monitor workflows to ensure Service Level Agreements are met

·Coach, encourage, and discipline employees as needed

·Ensure all procedures for the team are written and updated on currency

·Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and initiate timely and accurate communication to them on issues that may impact their processes or customer base

·Support management decisions that are made for the betterment of the team and those decisions that are made outside of our control with a positive attitude to all stakeholders, staff, and other bank employees

·Provide backup support when necessary during staff PTO

·Maintain adherence to company policies and procedural guidelines, ensuring key banking controls are maintained

·Monitor workflows and recommend process improvements

·Provide subject matter expertise on assigned projects

·Compile statistical reports as requested

·Complete special projects as assigned by IT/Ops Management

·Establish staff performance goals and write employee performance evaluations

·Ensure new employees are adequately trained and provide necessary follow-up

·Community volunteer participation

·Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

·At least four years of previous experience in bank operations required

·Two or more years of previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred

·Or a combination of education and experience

·Two-year post-secondary degree/specialized study preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

·Ability to do close visual work and dexterity to perform calculator and computer operations for extended periods of time

·Account balancing skills

·Knowledge of Bank Operations and Item Processing Systems

·Knowledge of check return rules and regulations

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $64,000 - $83,000
