Come be a part of our high-performing team of card professionals!As an Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to:

• Directly supervise staff of 8 employees with both hybrid and remote work schedules
• Oversee the daily settlement, posting, and reconciliation of bankcard activity including both point-of-sale and ATM transactions
• Perform monthly and annual reporting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Assist with internal and external audit, and SOX requirements
• Manage and review vendor invoicing
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, including documentation of operational accounting procedures
• Collaborate to support cross-functional operations and product management teams to effectively manage expenses and assist with business activities
• Create and analyze financial statements and other financial documents or data to proactively provide recommendations to aide management in the decision-making process to optimize Bankcard Product profitability.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field
• 4 years’ experience in accounting and/or finance
• Supervisory or managerial experience
• Ability to develop and manage people
• Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees exercising good judgement in choosing appropriate communication channels
• Must be flexible and able to handle change in a fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment
• Strong research, analysis, problem resolution and organizational skills
• Employs expert knowledge as a generalist or specialist in money-movement, invoice analysis, process improvement and accounting principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Knowledge of bank/financial products strongly preferred.

The position is located at the Zions Technology Center which is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
