Bank Street College Graduate School of Education is looking for an adjunct instructor for the following course to be taught on campus, summer 2024.
EDUC 874: Clinical Practicum/Advisement for Reading & Literacy, 3 credits
This course is designed for graduate students in the Reading & Literacy programs who are working teachers and, therefore, are in one classroom placement for the entire school year. Participants work as intervention teachers in a clinical setting with children. The practicum instructor will visit the practicum site to observe and discuss each student’s clinical practice. Graduate students participate in a small group seminar that will include the exchange and analysis of ongoing professional experiences and provide a forum for integrating theory and practice.
Days/Times/Dates
The instructor will provide supervision of graduate students in their clinical school-based placement, M-TH 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, during the Summer 2 term, June 24-July 29, 2024
In addition, the instructor will facilitate a course associated with the field experiences that meets twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
