JOB SUMMARY:

Manages and directs activities of personnel involved in performing internal bank operations including FRB adjustments, non-posted item reporting and correction, NSF item processing, forgeries and fraudulent item processing, branch capture processing, subpoenas and legal processes, and Management of the Online Account Opening system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the Specialized Operations Support (SOS) unit.
  • Maintains certifications for bank operations.
  • Provides reporting for these areas as required for senior management.
  • Ensures timely processing of items to be cleared from the Federal Reserve Bank GL account.
  • Confers with subordinate personnel to discuss operational problems and recommendations for improved efficiencies.
  • Maintains effective communication with the Director of Process Operations.
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages subordinates in Specialized Operations Support and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
