Position: Operations Specialist

Salary Range: $42,500 - $47,500

Department or Location: Operations / West Ashley

Supervisor: Suzanne Olvera

Job Summary:

As an Operations Specialist you will perform a variety of assignments in the Operations department and you will be cross trained in other duties within the department to fill in, when necessary. This is an excellent opportunity to learn multiple areas of the department. You will have comprehensive training and guidance to excel in this role. Normal hours are 8:00 am till 5:00 PM Monday – Friday but hours could vary slightly on occasion.

Essential Functions of the job:

• Reconcile various internal accounts monthly
• Daily check card maintenance and limit increases
• Scanning and importing documents into Director
• Assist with clearing old outstanding cashier’s checks
• Maintain large $ Return Log & notify branch managers
• Maintain substitute check log (Consumer Chargebacks)
• Process daily Fed returns – Chargebacks
• Trouble shoot Check Card problems for customers
• Domestic and International Wire Transfers – Support All functions
• Provide support to branch staff

Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job: Must be knowledgeable of bank products and services as well as Adobe and Microsoft outlook, word, and excel. Prior operations experience preferred but not required. Ability to work well in a fast-paced service-oriented role working as a team. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task several ongoing projects is a must. Good written and verbal communication skills helpful. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
