POSITION OVERVIEW

The Professional Banking Team Leader is responsible for identifying and executing professional banking revenue generation strategies to expand our market share in both loans and deposits. This position is responsible for developing, leading, and executing innovative business development, and sales strategies that align with the bank’s overall goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead the local business development activities to promote the Bank’s products and services, ensure the maintenance of the Bank’s favorable image, and develop total banking relationships with present and potential small business, consumer, and banking clients.

· Responsible for overall professional banking production growth in the respective market including deposit growth, consumer loan production, and small business production. Execute strategies and implementation plans to improve our sales process and achieve growth goals and objectives.

· Hire, lead, train and coach all Professional Relationship Managers in the Polk County market. Develop training plans to meet production needs.

· Set and achieve clear actionable targets for direct reports. Monitor performance against key objectives. Develop and implement specific actions plans to overcome deficiencies.

· Represent the Bank in industry and professional associations, community involvement, and promote the Bank's favorable image. Stay current on trends in the marketplace.

· Maintain the credit quality of the small business market through collaboration with credit partners. Will monitor the accountability of the loan portfolio of the market on a regular basis.

· Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local businesses and peer/partner organizations to provide information regarding participation lending programs and policies.

· Manage the goals of loans, deposits, and acquisitions for the locations within span of control.

· Serve as a member of the Bank Revenue Committee.

· Identify and originate new small business and personal relationships while managing and maintaining key relationships of the market.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. This includes identifying customers properly, initiating CTRs and SARs investigations as needed, utilizing OFAC records and maintaining appropriate records.

· Adheres to Bank’s policies and procedures and all Federal and State laws and regulations.

Sets high-performance goals, objectives, and expectations with the Bank’s strategies and business priorities. Acquires resources, training and tools to support staff needs. Proven ability to motivate, grow and lead a diverse team and ensure accountability for results. Proven skills to conceive, plan, support, and measure the execution of sales strategies and campaigns against specific goals and objectives. Experience managing the entire sales process and reporting relevant sales metrics.

· Championing Change: Champions new initiatives, creates a shared vision, and manages the change process. Supports others on effective change, seeks opportunities for innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities, and facilitates change management within the company. Builds commitment during change and creates communication and implementation plans. Positions the Bank to successfully move through both short-term and long-term changes.

Maximizes opportunities resulting in improved business action to resolve problems and improve business performance. Translates opportunities into realistic business strategies and initiatives.

· Detailed Oriented: Exhibits strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in the Business Administration or Finance fields.

· Five to ten years of senior management role within an organization. Five to ten years of direct supervision experience with a minimum of five direct reports.

· Thorough knowledge of banking industry and products is needed to successfully perform this job.

· Acquisition and integration experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITES

· General office environment that requires the extensive use of arms, hands, and fingers.

· Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arms and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear.

· May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
