Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Teller at Bank Iowa you will be responsible for providing an exceptional client experience, both in person and on the phone in our Pella location. You will be responsible for processing both business and individual banking transactions while managing a cash drawer, which includes balancing cash accurately and efficiently. Tellers also maintain and develop a working knowledge of basic bank products and services; and support the sales and service efforts of the teller team by identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank team member. This role opens new accounts, answers client questions, and performs research to identify solutions.

  • Provides an exceptional client experience while supporting client banking needs, such as deposits, withdrawals, payments and other typical teller transactions.
  • Opens/closes accounts, including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes, and performs other client service duties.
  • Develops relationships with clients and contributes to improving their financial wellness while supporting and furthering their relationship at the bank.

As a Teller at Bank Iowa you can expect to work 40 hours a week and must have availability to work on Saturdays. Our Pella location is open between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Specific hours for this role will be discussed in the interview.

Requirements

Skills/Experience You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • 3-5 years cash handling/client experience including formal teller and new accounts training.
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism with internal and external clients.
  • Ideal candidates will have some banking experience, strong customer service focus, ability to listen to customer needs and suggest solutions for those needs, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to learn and utilize multiple computer applications.
