Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bank First is a dynamic and growing financial institution with branch locations across Wisconsin. The Building Design & Project Manager plays a key role the delivery of our promise by ensuring the design of each branch location enhances the customer experience while incorporating eco-friendly features, sustainable practices, and advanced technologies to reduce the bank’s energy consumption and carbon footprint. As our facilities are a key symbol of the Bank First brand, focused on strength and professionalism, the Building Design & Project Manager will work to uphold our brand by actively managing two to three new office builds per year along with multiple remodels and ongoing construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Develop comprehensive project plans for both remodels and new construction projects.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, architects, contractors and other vendors to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Ensure the design of each location enhances the customer experience while affording our team a safe, comfortable, and welcoming work environment.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and cost-effectiveness.
  • Regularly monitor and report on budgetary performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Contractor and Vendor Management

  • Procure and manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Negotiate contracts, review proposals, and evaluate performance.
  • Adhere to the Bank First preferred contractor and vendor guidelines, which centers on our relationship-based model of banking and commitment to the communities we serve.

Quality Control

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure construction projects meet industry standards and Bank First specifications and brand standards.
  • Conduct inspections and walkthroughs to identify and address any issues promptly.

Timeline Management

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, identifying critical path milestones and ensuring projects are delivered within specified timelines.
  • Proactively address delays and obstacles to keep projects on schedule.

Communications

  • Provides regular updates to Senior Management and relevant stakeholders on project progress.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all project team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative working environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally in a professional/business industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
