Position Summary
We are looking for an individual to be a part of our System Operation team. System Operators are responsible for highly specialized work in operating the Cooperative's electric system and maintaining reliability standards under the supervision of the System Operations Manager. This position is responsible for performing tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
Essential Job Duties

• Provide support for member outages as required
• Maintain accurate records of outages and analyze the effect on the system reliability
• Ensure compliance with lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures
• Maintain a detailed chronological record log of all activities on the electric
• Monitor and evaluate condition of energy delivery system on a continuous basis to anticipate potential issues
• Manage requests for planned and emergency electric equipment outages to analyze the effect on system reliability under minimal or no supervision
• Coordinate with LCRA System Operators on all transmission outage requests

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of system operations and maintenance
• Knowledge of electric utility transmission or distribution system operations
• Knowledge in the use of system operations software and tools
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to system operations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Coursework in the Electrical Distribution or related field
Experience
1 - 6 months of experience

Valid Texas Driver's License and Related Insurance
Must pass background and drug screening
