JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the dissemination and implementation of DevOps practices and culture in the assigned team, with a focus on meeting both technological objectives and business objectives; optimizing efficiency, speed, stability, and quality indicators, generating concrete actions to minimize the risk of these deliveries for the business and customers. The above, seeking the alignment of objectives between the development, security and operations teams with the business teams.


DUTIES OF THE POSITION


The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Ensuring consistency and stability of release pipelines and Integration and testing environments.

  • Managing the flow of development releases from when the development teams deliver them until the operations team receives them.

  • In charge of validating and approving the release candidate, ensuring consistency, dependencies and impacts.

  • Aligning the DevOps team activities to focus on business needs and priorities.

  • Review criteria for transition to production required by operations.

  • Survey and monitoring of issues in the pipeline and associated environments

  • Enable agile communication channels with the other units of the DevOps team

  • Make DevOps metrics and KPIs visible to O&T and business teams

  • Enable communication between development, QA, business, operations and process stakeholders teams.

  • Comprehensive support for the implementation of CI/CD practices in teams.

  • Operation, maintenance and evolution of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees

  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position

  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)

  • Travel as required

  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested

  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

COMPUTER:

Ability to use operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Suite at an Expert level. Ability to operate AS400 is preferred, but not required.


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, or related field, or combination of education, experience and/or industry certifications.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Preferred Certifications:
  • Devops Foundations

  • AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

  • Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Software development

  • Development processes
