The data entry clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Refugee Health Program (RHP). This position will ensure timely registration of new patients, gathering and entry of refugees’ data into the MIRIS database. The data entry clerk will ensure that information collected for the full completion of Refugee Health Assessment (RHA) forms in a timely manner. In addition to the development of reports, the data entry clerk will be available to provide analysis, interpretation, and presentation of the information as needed. data entry clerk provides routine and special reports dealing with the Refugee Health Program initiatives and productivity. This includes tracking missing information and working with other stakeholders to coordinate appointments for repeat labs or additional evaluation tests as needed. Maintains accurate records and completes various tasks for the refugee program including filing, copying, and handling of overseas medical examination forms. Communication skills are required to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with the service.
Communication with external contacts involves handling complaints, making adjustments, corrections, etc. The Data Entry Clerk will collaborate with relevant stakeholders, generate appropriate reports to assist with decision making, evaluate progress towards departmental goals, clinical quality improvement, and support the grant-based data needs.
