Shift:

Weekdays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with 24/7 on-call reporting requirements.

There may be occasional changes in schedule to accommodate time-off

requests, and coverage for special events or program specific deadlines.


Job Overview:

The primary focus of this position is to provide the clinical and operational management for the Medical Detoxification and Substance Use Treatment Departments. They will also focus on expanding fee-for-service addiction treatment services to meet the needs of the clients served.


Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with the Medical Director, CRNP Medical Manager, Director of Nursing and the Director of Clinical Operations to ensure all services provided comply with best practices, applicable federal/state/local rules/laws/regulations regarding substance use treatment, and program policies.
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Manager and Residential Coordinator, to ensure 24/7 staff coverage and coordination of client care.
  • Work with the Director of Clinical Operations to find ways to better integrate BCRI’s residential programs to work more effectively and cost efficiently.
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership of all programmatic functioning for the Medical Detox and Substance Use Treatment Departments aside from functions under the prevue of the Medical Manager CRNP, and Director of Nursing.
  • Manage the budget for the Detox and Substance Use Treatment Departments; by ensuring that expenses do not exceed the budget and that the program is generating revenue.
  • Strength current community partnerships and build new relationships with providers to expand referrals.
  • Develop a strategic plan with key benchmarks focused on expanding referral sources and increase bed capacity to 92 percent daily.
  • Provide regularly scheduled supervision for staff within the Departments and ensure that each staff receives a bi-annual and annual review each year.
  • Works with the Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Nursing to cross-train all residential staff and nurses.
  • Develop and implement evidenced-based trauma-informed policies, procedures and programming that meets the co-occurring mental health and substance use needs of the clients served.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of staff within the Department.
  • Ensure adequate billing for all detox and substance use treatment services. Resolve billing matters and identify new billing opportunities for the organization.
  • Responsible for all programmatic and finance audits for the Department.
  • Participate in community meetings and work groups as instructed by immediate supervisor and leadership.

Provides oversight of clinical operations and community engagement services, programs, and activities, with immediate supervision of direct reports. This position is a management position which encompasses supervisory responsibility, including the following tasks. Supervisory duties may include but are not limited to encompassing the authority to recommend individuals for hire, promotion, transfer and/or discharge. This position may recommend appropriate evaluation, rewards and/or disciplinary actions to other employees as needed in order to meet organizational policy. This position operates in the best interest of the organization using independent judgement to formulate and effectuate management policies by expressing and making operative decisions relative to the success of assigned departments or teams.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Masters in Social Work, or related field from an accredited University or College, Required.

Credentials:

CAC-AD, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C, or LCADC, Required.

Experience:

5-10 years of managerial or director level experience in managing human service programs, Required.

Prior experience supporting non-profit operations, Required.

3-5 years working with and managing people in the addition field, Required.


Additional:

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, Required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Required.

Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, Required.


Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation.

Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.

Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds at times.
