A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A COOK As a Cook in the kitchens of the Baltimore Country Club, you are part of a culinary staff with exceptional standards. You are passionate about good food and exceeding our members' expectations. Each shift, you prepare food items for a-la-carte dining, including breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, holiday events, and special parties. You carefully follow recipes and work hard to ensure the quality and consistency of the food and that it is ready in a timely manner. You also serve members and guests by working at carving stations and buffet lines. In addition to the proper preparation of food, you ensure its properly stored and handled. You inspect food prep and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS At least two years of culinary experience in a fast-paced environment; High school diploma or equivalent; Food handlers card; Experience with a variety of dining venues such as fine dining, buffets, grill stations, and/ or display cooking. Experience working in a Country Club or fine dining experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Can you read and follow directions well? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced environment? Do you prefer doing the right thing instead of what is easier?
