The Job. The CNC Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of our computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Types of equipment includes: Okuma CNC Lathes and Mills, Mazak CNC Mills, Precihole and Dehoff machines.

· Perform CNC machine repair and maintenance, including electrical and pneumatic systems.

· Troubleshoot, and repair:

- Control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensors.

- Various machine tool hydraulic and pneumatic systems including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters.

- Machine tool mechanical systems including ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxes.

- Mechanical and electrical malfunctions in CNC machines. 

· Calibrating and adjusting CNC machines to ensure they produce components according to specifications.

· Conducting regular inspections of CNC machines to identify and resolve issues before they disrupt production.

· Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their longevity and efficiency.

· Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair or maintenance of equipment

· Assisting in the installation and set-up of new CNC machines.

· Collaborating with other team members to improve production processes and machine performance.

· Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations. 

Requirements

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CNC machinery/manufacturing maintenance

· Vocational certificates and/or experience in Electrical, HVAC, PLC, and Plumbing

· Ability to perform electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics, machinery rebuilds, reconditioning, and modifications of an advanced nature.

· Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.

· Control Systems (specific experience with Fanuc and Siemens will be of value).

· Proficiency in basic mathematical operations.

· Analytic thinker that gets to the root of problems and comes up with permanent solutions to remedy issues.

· Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards.

· Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency.

· Ability to flex schedule to accommodate business needs, working overtime as needed.

· Physical capability to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, reach, grasp, pull, and work at heights.

Work Environment.

Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.

Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
