Primary Purpose of Position:
The Data Analytics specialist will be responsible for the conversion of data into insights that will eventually lead to informed business decisions. This will involve understanding Source to pay end-to-end business processes, solving hard analytical problems for the Procurement, defining analytical approaches, exploring solutions to particular problems, translating that into insights and communicating them to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and visual fashion. In this role, the Data Analytics specialist will also be responsible for the clear definition of detailed requirements, as well as the identification, extraction and storage of relevant source data to conduct such analyses. This will require working with the relevant stakeholders (Managers and Directors) to ensure that reporting is meeting their needs and changing/evolving the analyses as required.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop clear and well-structured analytical project plans to analyze large data-sets across Source to Pay processes;
2. Identify, communicate, and endeavor to resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business’s functional requirements;
3. Develop logical and conceptual data flows that are in support of business requirements and guides appropriate and effective use of data;
4. Establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholders in Procurement, GBS, Finance, IT, and other functional areas to ensure all requirements are met and in alignment of the overall procurement strategy. Includes ability to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts;
5. Conduct high quality analysis using data analytics tools and techniques for all functions of the business to track the business’s performance at different fronts;
6. Validate, interpret, and deliver reporting for global and regional Procurement teams and relevant stakeholders;
7. Create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner;
8. Remain up to date on new technology trends, opportunities as well as industry benchmarks in order to identify and implement best practices.
9. Establish data request templates for efficient and effective intake of requests from Procurement colleagues and management
10. Work with colleagues and management to understand business analysis needs applying Lean methodologies to clearly document requirements for analyses to be developed
11. Develop processes and tools for initial and ongoing data collection in support of business analysis requirements not addressed by current systems
Position Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
o ERPs ( SAP, JDE, etc.) and Automation Tools (UiPath)
o Programming languages (VBA, Python)
o Database manipulation (SQL), being able to draw complex queries that ultimately lead to improvements in business performance.
o Data visualizations tools such as QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI;
o Skilled in performing quantitative analyses on Source to Pay processes with a consistent awareness to accuracy and attention to detail;
o Financial business-acumen – P&L understanding;
o MS Office tools (Excel – PowerQuery/PowerPivot/Statistical Analysis, PowerPoint, etc.)
